Om, Namaste and welcome to our new BKC website. The BKC was formed in 1992 as a way for local residents to have an ongoing connection to the Kripalu Center. Over the years the BKC has evolved into an organization of approximately 500 individuals and families (many who have never been involved with Kripalu) who share an interest in practicing Kripalu yoga (both on and off the mat) and seek a healthy, spiritual life style. The BKC is open to people who live within 50 miles of Kripalu.

We offer numerous yoga classes taught by Kripalu trained teachers, some special events, access to Kripalu Evening Programs, pot-luck dinners at members’ homes, opportunities for doing seva (selfless service), and discounts on some Kripalu programs and services.

The BKC is a volunteer run organization. Members are invited to help with the various tasks necessary for our operation. We invite you to join us and be part of the BKC community.

Jai Bhagwan: (I Honor the Light Within You) – Hindi greeting used interchangeable with the Sanskrit Namaste.

Namasté: A Sanskrit word meaning “The Light of God in Me recognizes and honors The Light of God in You” and in that recognition is our Oneness.
